I have two kids in middle school. A 6th grader and 8th grader. Both who are doing online learning for this school year. After forgetting to access the first two meetings, we started to do the following and now it allowed me to show my kids how to become more organize and how to prioritize their work.😀
Here are some tips that have helped us get through some of the challenges
Sit down at the beginning of the week and pull up their course shells or go into each subject to locate the calendar for the week.
Have your child write down the zoom meetings and times plus assignments into their agenda.
Set reminders for your child's zoom meetings in their school Gmail account.
Set a reminder on your phone as well.
Dedicate a time of day to get outside or walk around (brain break)
Dedicate at least 2 times a week to get a mini work out in for 15 or 20 minutes. You and your kids can do standing toe touches, running in place, jumping jacks, lunges, and squats. Be as creative as you want. The goal is to keep them moving.
