How do I start to practice yoga?


That is up to you. You can start by making it to your mat. You can ease your way into with just practicing breathing exercises. You can start with a few standing asanas (postures) or sitting asanas (postures), or both.




What do I need to practice yoga?


All you need is yourself, a quiet place, a mat (preferably), and the will to not give up.




Any advice for a yoga newbie?


Remember Yoga is not a competition. Nothing happens overnight. In order to reap the full benefits of your practice, practice as much as you can. Leave your ego and frustrations off your yoga mat. Focus on your breath and just be.
